During the school day, most schools rely on local police departments and resource officers to be the eyes and ears on site as well as the first responders to any potential incidents. However, during non-school hours, school districts may not want to have a resource officer on duty at all schools. American Security provides roving officers who systematically work their way through the district, making sure doors and gates are secure, lights are off, there are no suspicious vehicles present or anything else out of the ordinary. In addition to their random patrols and site checks, our officers also work as part of a dispatch team to respond to any situation that requires an on-site response. Example situations we respond to include open door alerts, motion alarms, power outages and reports of suspicious activity.
In addition to our off-hour patrols and site checks, American Security also provides officers to schools who need extra protection services during school hours. Schools mainly use our officers during school hours when there is potential for high risk scenarios and additional protection services are needed. Our officers are licensed, trained, armed and ready to protect
